Winter in Wheatley 2010
Hops Lane now runs under the former High Level railway line
Long Can Hall, built originally in 1637. Restored by Webster's brewery in 1981, and used as a museum/visitor centre until the closure of the brewery.
Now enjoying a new lease of life as a pub/restaurant.
The Maltings, Fountain Head brewery
Day slowly dawns in the Wheatley valley
Up early to get this picture of the Wheatley valley as the day begins to get light
Our snowy roof garden
A motorist struggles up the valley in the evening snow
A shot of Long Can Hall from across the Wheatley valley
A street light gives a magical glow to the snow laden trees
Fountain Head brewery nestles among snow clad trees
"Don't forget me at Christmas!"
I tried to get a picture of this gull 3 times, as it led me a merry dance down the snowy lane, flitting from one lamp to the next!
Sometimes I think they're almost human.
Snow post today.
